Development engenders positive transformation in any
given situation the world over. As we learned from developed nations’
activities, the wellbeing of the people, basic social services, infrastructure
and etc. are key responsibilities of national governments and people. Development
comes to realization base on the vision, determination and practical steps to
towards a particular activity.
In all of Graceland’s activities emphasis is placed
on human capacity building, this will in itself widen the opportunity for
others to contribute to development. Graceland being a national organization
based in Liberia is open and willing to partnership with donor organizations
and philanthropists to impact and touch the lives of people. The establishment of Graceland was based on
voluntary services and cash contribution from founders to initiate micro-programs
in some communities. I am of the strongest conviction that greater things will
occur to ignite development in Liberia and other developing countries.
As a result of the determination, farsightedness and
hard work exhibited by Graceland, the organization got attracted by USAID/DAI
programs, United Nations Quick Impact Program, Plan international-LIBERIA
program, the Government of Liberia and others. The splendid performance of
Graceland on the USAID/DAI Program extended its activities and also seconded
few of Graceland staff members to build capacity of another organization.
Graceland was honored in 2012 by the AFRICA WATCH, a
media institution as the Most Outstanding Organization.
Graceland is ever will and prepared to partnership and implement programs that
will engender development for transformation.
